Room Parent Tools Overview

This article provides an overview of the features you can do as a Room Parent. The directory administrator ultimately controls what permissions you are allowed to do. If some of the features described below is not available to you, reach out to the directory administrator to see how you can start using these features today.

Managing My Classroom as a Room Parent

  1. Log in with your parent account and expand the menu bar. 
  2. Click on Manage Class Students.
  3. This allows you to do the following:
    • Add Students to your classroom.
    • Remove Students from your classroom.
    • Edit Student and Family data.
    • Add Students and Families to the database.
    • Assign Room Parents to your classroom.

Emailing My Classroom

  1. Log in with your parent account and expand the menu bar. 
  2. Select Email.
  3. Click on the blue Compose New Email.
  4. Complete each tab to successfully compose and send your email. 
  5. Review the Sending Emails help article that will walk you through sending out an email to your classroom.

Texting My Classroom

  1. Log in with your parent account and expand the menu bar. 
  2. Select Email.
  3. Click on the blue Compose New Email.
  4. Complete each tab to successfully compose and send your email.

Uploading to Digital Backpack

Room Parent can post to Digital Backpack to share important information to their classroom. Check out the help article Room Parents Posting to Digital Backpack that breaks down how to utilize this powerful tool.
